The Data Ladder Story
Data Ladder began in 2023 as “Everything Data”, a growing community created to connect aspiring and experienced data professionals across Africa through learning, collaboration, and shared opportunities. What started with webinars, workshops, events, and conversations around data quickly evolved into something bigger as more students, graduates, and career switchers joined the community looking not only for technical knowledge, but also for guidance, mentorship, and a clearer path into data careers.
As the vision expanded, the organization transitioned into “Data Ladder” — a name that reflects growth, progression, and the journey of building a successful career in data.
Today, Data Ladder is focused on making data careers accessible to every African who wants one through mentorship, community, learning experiences, and access to opportunities. Our goal is to help the next generation of African data professionals climb higher, grow confidently, and become the standard in global data spaces.

Founder & CEO
Cindy is a visionary leader who emphasizes the importance of teamwork and effective communication. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and additional professional certifications in Data Analysis from Google. She applies her skills to not only lead the board, but also develop a strategic plan for the community and ensure that the community activities align with the mission and strategy Cindy’s vision for Data Ladder is to establish it as a premier resource for data professionals—a center of excellence where enthusiasts can learn, collaborate, and thrive.
